Biblical Promises
by Joey Davis All too often, we see the word of God as a rule book consisting of "do's" and "don'ts" created for the purpose of keeping us in line. However, not only is the word of God a "lamp for our feet and a light for our pathway," it is also the greatest source of encouragement known to mankind.
With that in mind, I want to share biblical promises that are some of my personal favorites: "For know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 ... "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weal'; they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:31 ... "As we have born the image of the earthly, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. " 1 Corinthians 15:49 ... "As the mountains are round but Jerusalem, so the Lord is around about his people from henceforth even forever." Psalm 125:2
"Lo, I am with you always. . ." Matthew 28:20 ... "As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you." Isaiah 66:13 ... "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Hebrews 13:5 ..,.. "Thou shalt see greater things
than these." John 1:50 ..."In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:6
''The Lord shall guide thee continually." Isaiah 58:11 ... "Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you." I Peter 5:6-7 ... "(you shall) obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time." 1 Peter 1:4-5
"To live is Christ, to die is gain." Philippians 1:21
"We have a building of God, a house not made with hands eternal in the heavens."
2 Corinthians 5:1...
"In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace which He lavished upon us." Ephesians 1:7-8 ... "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28
May you spend your week standing on His promises!
