Your Child Deserves

As Brother Watkins pointed out in both of his sermons Sunday, children are important and are in need or Godly direction at home.

I recently read an article in a publication called "A Reflection of the Son" that I would like to share with you

this week. It is entitled, "Your Child Deserves."

". . . Bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord." ( Ephesians 6:4)

1. Your child deserves to hear you pray earnestly and often.

2. Your child deserves to go to worship and Bible classes with you regularly.

3. Your child deserves to see you sacrifice for the Lord.

4. Your child deserves to hear you talk to others about becoming Christians.

5. Your child deserves to go with you to visit the sick and bereaved.

6. Your child deserves to be taught the Bible by you.

7. Your child deserves to hear you praise the church and her leaders.

8. Your child deserves to be encouraged by you to see and obey the truth always.

9. Your child deserves to see you putting the Lord first in giving your time and finances.

10. Your child deserves to know the Christ living in you...

. . . Children have always been the primary target of Satan.

It began with misleading God's first children, Adam and Eve, in the garden of Eden. Adam's child was overcome by Satan's greatest weapon, jealousy, and killed his brother Abel. Satan caused a murderous edict to be passed down in Egypt to kill little boys. . . an edict of which Moses' mother saved him by floating him in the direction of Pharaoh's daughter. Satan tried to kill the infant Jesus.

And today, Satan is trying to destroy our children by destroying God's institution of the home. Be careful! We can't afford to allow Satan to steal our future.
