Jesus Paid it All

by John Thomas

We all work hard so that we can pay our bills and eat and have nice
clothes:to wear. We also work to have possessions. "Ownership" being the key word, meaning OURS! We have paid for it in full. The invoice is circled and reads PAID! What a great feeling! N of to just be driving, or livingcinjt, or wearing it, or having it in our hands, but to really be owning it (Being Completely ours, Solely ours, Only ours!)
Think of the sacrifices that we make to get debts paid off (Now, think of the sacrifices Jesus made to pay our debt of sin, so we would be His (Completely His, Solely His, Only His!) When we sin against His will, it's like stealing from Him, because He paid' for us, but we are not His. We are not giving Him much pleasure in ownership! We should try to give Him the happiness that should be His by knowing that He purchased us and that we appreciate the sacrifices He made to pay our debts! Reflect on these woras from our song book p. 316.
Jesus Paid It All
" Gone is all my debt of sin, a great change is bro't within, and to live I now begin, risen from the fall; Yet the debt I did not pay someone died for me one day, sweeping all the debt away, Jesus paid it all.
Oh, I hope to please him now, light of joy is on my brow, as at His gear freedom, safe within His love. Making His the debt lowed, freedom true has He bestowed; so I'm singing oIithe road to my home above.
Sinner, not for me alone did the Sop of God atone; your debt, too, He made His own, on the cruel tree.
Come to Him with all your sin; be as white as snow within; full salvation you may win and rejoice with me.
Jesus died and paid it all, yes, on the cross on Calvary, oh and my stony heart was melted at His dying call; Oh His heart in shame was broken on the tree for you and me, yes and the debt is canceled, Jesus paid it all.
