What's Your Soil Worth?by John Thomas For about $100.00 you can buy a truckload of dirt. I mean a lot of dirt! When you spread it by hand, it seems like a never-ending pile of dirt. So much dirt for so little money. ANd most of the time it is used for filler, just something to take up space! So we gather that dirt is pretty invaluable. ALmost worthless. Genesis 2:7 "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being" NKJV. Our bodies just like the dust of the ground, are pretty much worthless until we are touched by God. Until He breathes life into us, 'til He touches our lives with His powerful hands, 'til we are under his control...we are not really valuable. The seed until planted in the soil...worthless! The soil until planted in the soil...worthless! Our lives without God to nuture us...worthless! It is when and only when God breathes in us that we can be all that God wants us to be. He is our breath of fresh air, our renewing strength. Our everything! Don't just be filler. Don't just take up space. Be valuable to God in His service. Being springtime, we see the beauty of things when planted, watered, and tended to. See the beautiful things that God can do whith you! May 2, 1999 Related Articles:
