Balanceby John Thomas To find a balance in things proves to be a difficult task at times. It is something we should strive for as Christians in many areas of our lives. One of those areas is when we should speak and when we should be silent. We see passages like Joshua 1:8 and Psalms 1:2 and we are encouraged to meditate. K.J.V. Joshua 1:8(a) "This book of the law shall not depart out of my mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night..." K.J.V. Psalm 1:2 (The blessed man) "But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night." Meditation is something we don't do very often. Meditation is the idea of slowing down and thinking about things, and getting your priorities right. Take time to this sometime. I believe it will make you feel better. Find a place to be by yourself where there is silence; nothing but you and God, and pray. Remember, to meditate you have to focus on something, so make sure your focus is on God, not you! Proverbs 15:1-4 - Have a soft answer and a wholesome tongue. Be careful to choose good words and use them in a humble spirit, but don't back down in cowardice against satan. Fight him ith everything in your arsenal! He's going down! August 29, 1999 Related Articles:
