What Will You Do with Jesus?

An innocent man was on trial, but he did not try to answer the accusations of his enemies. Pontius Pilate, the governor, knew that the man had been brought to trial due to envy; thus he offered to release either the innocent man or a criminal named Barabbas. The crowd cried out for the release of Barabbas. Pilate then asked, "What-shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ?" They replied, "Let him be crucified." Just as Pilate faced the challenge of what to do with Jesus, his question is appropriate to you and me. What will WE do with Jesus? Will we crucify him again, and put him to open shame, as described in Hebrews 6:6?
Perhaps you prefer not to personally crucify the Lord, but like Judas, for enough money you would betray him. For thirty pieces of silver Jesus was betrayed into enemy hands, and sometimes, for far less, we sell out to Satan. All kinds of evil have come from the love of money.Some, like Peter, are afraid to acknowledge belief in Christ, for they often find themselves surrounded by the enemies of faith. Rather than openly acknowledging Jesus, do we sometimes downplay our Christianity, especially among our friends who reject him?
Perhaps you think you can be neutral, and not openly take a strong stand for Jesus. As Pilate washed his hands publicly, he proclaimed his innocence regarding the impending crucifixion, but he failed to wash his guilt away.
The course of wisdom is to accept Jesus wholeheartedly. The vital issue is: " What will Christ do with me????
