Take Time to Be Holy

by Ken Thomas

"FAST BAPTIST CHURCH - The fast food concept has reached the church. Starting tomorrow, the Rev. Thaine E. Ford, pastor of First American Baptist Church of Pensacola, Fla., guarantees a Compact Mini 22-Minute Worship Service that'll include a sermon, hymn-singing, prayer, reading of scripture - and, presumably, passing the collection plate."

The article above tells a sad story. Many in our society refuse to "Take Time to Be Holy," and will “Come to the Feast”of spiritual things only if it is served up like a quick burger and fries. Perhaps someone will think of preparing a short cassette tape which can be picked up at a drive- through window to be listened to on the way to a nice sit-down dinner at a fine restaurant. (Of course if WE were to do this, we would have to include a "communion" packet!)
Seriously, in our fast paced world, we may be traveling the superhighway to destruction. It takes a little longer to travel the narrow way that leads to eternal life.

God once complained that his people were destroyed for lack of knowledge. He warned that the sheep might starve if not fed properly. It takes time to learn the word of God, and we need to spend that time.
Why not take part in our Bible teaching program here. We have classes for all ages, and competent teachers. This goes for Wednesday night also! Our attendance is too low on Wednesday. Somebody is starving themselves and their children spiritually. Please consider the consequences.
