Update from the Interns
by Evan Burns

I, Evan Burns, son of Douglas Burns, son of Franklin Burns, was born in 1985, in Lawrenceburg, TN. I attend Freed-Hardeman where I major in Psychology and minor in Bible. I eventually hope to be involved with medical missions in South America upon completion of medical school. I, Evan Burns, am honored to have at my side a most distinguished colleague, Betsy Frizzell. Betsy, daughter of Tim Frizzell, and sister of Andy Frizzell, was born in 1988, in Nashville, TN. She attends Freed-Hardeman where she majors in Social Work. She hopes to practice social work after she receives her masters.
We are both looking forward to working with the Mt. Juliet church of Christ this summer. It is an honor and a privilege to work under the elders and guidance of Phil Waggoner. We hope to build lasting friendships with the church and especially with the youth. Our focus for growth in the youth group will be inward, outward, and upward. Inward by drawing closer to one another in the love of Jesus Christ. Outward by encouraging them to live a life that glorifies God and shines as a light to those around them. Upward by building a deeper commitment and understanding of God's word and striving after God's own heart.
We are both very excited about being here this summer and hope to have great involvement from the youth and the church as a whole. We look forward to meeting and getting to know each of you.
