Vote Yes, Call 1-800-Walmart, and Bow Down to Stand Up

A Christians armor isnt needed if we arent going to fight. In Ephesians 6:10-18 Paul teaches soldiers to be strong, put on the armor, withstand evil, and having done all, to stand. He tells us the armor to wear and closes with a command to pray and persevere. As we see a battle unfolding in our community and state lets put on our armor and make a stand for God. Lets pray and persevere.
Vote YES. Tuesday, November 7 is Election Day. One of the most important issues in the state of Tennessee will be the marriage amendment on the ballot. If passed it will amend our state constitution to define marriage as a legal contract between one man and one woman. While it is true that Tennessee already has laws in place that define marriage as being between one man and one woman, these laws could easily be overturned by a court decision. It is no secret that the ACLU has used this means effectively to negate the will of the people concerning this issue in other states. The ACLU will not stop until they have succeeded in destroying marriage in Tennessee and across the nation. All Christians have a duty to step up and be sure that doesnt happen in Tennessee. In order for this amendment to pass it must have over half the number of votes cast in the Governors election. That means if you vote in the Governors election and do not vote on the amendment you have in essence voted against it! You do not have to vote in the Governors election to vote for the amendment. The amendment vote will be placed on the ballot directly after the candidates for governor. Wal-mart has asked to join the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC). They donated two large grants to their cause and have accepted a position on their board. They announced they would give preference to homosexual-owned business in purchasing products. They are working on a plan to provide domestic-partners benefits to homosexual employee partners. Now is the time to pick up the phone and politely explain that supporting sin isnt the same as reaching out to minorities. You can call 1-800-Walmart or 479-273-4000. Bow Down to Stand Up. Lets come together November 7, election day at 6:00 a.m. to pray together. How foolish it would be to try to fight this battle alone. Lets pray everyday about these issues and that our response would be proper and successful.
Lets vote, call, pray and having done all, to stand.
