Your Cooperation is Needed
by Dewayne Griffin

I begin this article by thanking everyone for the wonderful cooperative spirit that has been exhibited toward our two services. It seems fitting that I mention Pat Hackney, the elder who so eloquently communicated our need for two services to the congregation. Many of you have told me how much you appreciated his genuinely encouraging words. Of course, we give God the glory for the early success we are experiencing with the two services.
David McIndoo and Eric McGreevy, the deacons with primary responsibility of organizing the men who serve the congregation, need your help. If you have agreed to serve (lead prayer, read, serve at the Lords table, etc.) please report a few minutes early and check in with either of these men. If you know ahead of time that you will not be able to serve, contact David or Eric. Please be reminded there is very little flex time built in the two services. Your cooperation will help reduce the stress of these men and will add to the orderliness of the worship.
Brethren, it is a blessing to serve as one of your elders. May God bless us as we continue to broaden the borders of His kingdom.
PS. There is not enough space in this bulletin to tell the story of our recent trip to Mississippi. It will be years before the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina will be erased, and maybe never. In the near future, those who went on this trip will share a report with you. Please pray for the relief effort to continue.
