Intelligent Design

On Dec 20, 2005, a Pennsylvania judge issued a ruling that teaching �intelligent design� in public schools was unconstitutional. The board for the Dover school district in that state had sought to require intelligent design be taught alongside evolution as a theory of the origin of life. The judge described their idea as �breathtaking inanity�. The judge even acknowledged Darwin�s theory to be �imperfect�, yet dismissed intelligent design as a non-scientific religious belief.
Evolution is not a proven theory. There are many scientists who either reject evolution completely, or question its scientific validity.
If we compare intelligent design and evolution, which of the two is worthy of our faith?
Evolution teaches that man is a result of an accidental series of events spanning billions of years.
Intelligent design teaches that the human body is far too complex to have just happened. Every part of the body is so intricately designed, scientists have only begun to comprehend it.
Evolution teaches that life came from inanimate matter, through accidental processes.
Intelligent design teaches that all forms of life show intricate design, even to the casual observer.
Who is this intelligent designer of the universe and all life therein?
The creator of heaven and earth is our God, who has revealed Himself to us in His word.
Genesis 1:1 -- �In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth�.
Gen 1:27 � �So God created man in His own image��.
Read, study, and live by His revealed word, for God has designed for us a new body and a new life in a place far exceeding the glory of this earth. John 14:1-3, 1 Corinthians 15, Revelation 21.
For those of us who believe in the God of the Bible, we often endure ridicule. Yet even from a standpoint of logic, we are on solid ground. Let us never be ashamed of our faith.
