Participation

by Phil Waggoner

In Acts 2:42-47, we see how the early Church fellowshipped together constantly. They were continually encouraging one another and showing their love for each other. We see the Lord was adding to their number daily. As Christians, we need to look for ways to strengthen each other and come closer together as a family, so through our strengthening, God may receive Glory and we can bring others to Christ.
The purpose of Bible studies and devotionals is to help us grow in our spiritual life, to encourage us so we may be an example to others, and become closer as the body of Christ.
We each have to make up our own mind to come. It is up to each of us. It is my hope we will continue to get together to study God's word no matter what. As the church of Christ at Mt. Juliet continues to grow, we must study God's word daily so we may know the Gospel we are trying to spread. There are those in our own community who have never heard God's message or obeyed his Gospel. Let us strive to encourage and strengthen each other through our participation in Bible studies, devotionals, and everything else so, through our lives, other souls may be reached. "Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing." 1 Thessalonians 5:11
