A Pro Homosexual Web Site made the following arguments trying to prove the only homosexual activity condemned in the Bible is relationships outside of a monogamous homosexual relationship.
Heterosexual men and women going against their basic nature and engaging in homosexual Pagan orgies (Romans 1:26).
Men who sexually molest boys -- and the boys that they abuse (1 Corinthians 6:9; 1 Timothy 1:9).
Bestiality: Men engaging in sex with males of another species -- angels in this case (Jude 7).
But on the topic of sexual activity within a loving, committed, monogamous homosexual relationship, many religious liberals view the Bible as being completely silent. Is the Bible silent about monogamous homosexuals? Let's address these false claims.
The web site makes a false spin of homosexuality being amoral and its sin is based upon the faithfulness to a partner. The problem with this is homosexuality is never listed in a neutral or amoral sense in the scriptures. The only righteous sexual activity in the scriptures is within the boundaries of a man and woman married to each other. Anything else falls under "Sexual Immorality". Other terms describe "acts" of sexual immorality such as bestiality (person with animal), adulterers (when one or both are married to another), prostitutes (sexual activity for reimbursement), and homosexuals (very general term for any sexual activity between two of the same sex). This term would include homosexual orgies, incest, adultery, as well as two of the same sex committing sexual immorality for the first time! But no where in the Bible does God speak of 1. A command which allows homosexuality in any "act". 2. No "righteous" example is ever given of homosexuality. 3. No inference is made of homosexuality being amoral. Any sexual activity out of the boundaries of God's pattern for marriage (the pattern stated in Gen 2:24, stated again in Mt 19:5, and again in Eph 5:31) is immoral, not amoral. The Bible is far from silent as it condemns any homosexual activity, but also warmly welcomes home those who repent and turn to God! I Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God." In verse 9 homosexuals were listed, therefore some of the "some of you" were homosexuals who repented and were washed clean! Based on the web sites premises homosexual activity wouldn't be sin with the first partner, only with future partners. This is Satan's premise, not God's! Romans the first chapter never mentions homosexual pagan orgies. In chapter 1:26-27 we read natural use into that which is against nature: "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet."
It is interesting that Paul's inspired message didn't even use the word homosexual in this text.
He spoke of "vile" affection - {infamy, i.e. (subjectively) comparative indignity, (objectively) disgrace:--dishonor, reproach, shame, vile.} This activity is called a "dishonor" in verse 24. It dishonors the Creator. God didn't create our bodies for this purpose. Even in our sexual life we should honor God by submitting our body to His will. This is why homosexuality is a dishonor or "vile".
Secondly notice the words "natural use" and "against nature." These words inform us the problem wasn't orgies. The orgies theory perverts the text. They had abandoned the "natural use" of heterosexual relationships to participate in homosexuality which was against nature.
Let's consider this term "natural use" further. In the original language it means "physical". In other words if the physical anatomy of males and females is observed it is obvious they are naturally or physically designed for each other. On the other hand women with women or men with men are not "physically" designed for each other, therefore dishonoring the Creator.
Also notice the word "nature" in the original language, it means "growth (by germination or expansion), i.e. (by implication) natural production (lineal descent); by extension, a genus or sort;" Now he explains homosexuality is "against" natural production. There is no growth in homosexuality. No physical reproduction, no spiritual growth, and not even civilizations grow practicing homosexuality. Decline of these three areas can be seen in life and in scriptures.
Natural Fact: The Creator will not allow homosexuals to produce offspring.
Spiritual Fact: Romans 1 tells of a spiritual spiral down, which led these folks to homosexuality (vr 21-24) not toward spiritual growth.
Facts of Civilizations: Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed due to their accelerated sexual immorality in Genesis 18 and 19. No nation in history has ever risen to any level of success while homosexuality was predominate.
Any homosexuality, whether it is practiced with one partner or many, isn't right. It effects families, communities and nations by stifling proper development. God plainly condemns it to protect us due to His love for us.

The Web Site said "Bestiality" which is men engaging in sex with males of another species, angels in this case (Jude 7), is all the Lord is condemning.
The English versions or the original Greek will not support the web site's conclusion. Jude 7 "Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire."
Why was Sodom and Gomorrah destroyed? Fornication (ekporneuo, ek-porn-yoo'-o, to be utterly unchaste:--give self over to fornication) and pursuing sinful sexual activity - "strange flesh" - (heteros, het'-er-os of uncertain affinity; other or different) Anytime a man or woman pursues sexual activity with one other than their spouse they are pursuing "strange flesh". Genesis tells the whole story for the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. But this erroneous statement that Sodom was destroyed due to men longing to have sex with angels is wrong. In Genesis 18:19-20 the plans had been made by God to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah because of their fornication before the men tried to rape the angels. It was not "the sin" which had caused the "outcry" toward God which was great. God identifies this sin in Jude 7 by saying, "giving themselves over to FORNICATION and GOING AFTER STRANGE FLESH, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire." Fornication or sexual immorality is the sin which destroyed them. One particular type of immorality mentioned is "going after strange flesh" which is most likely referring to homosexuality.
Bestiality is sin, but the condemnation of these cities wasn't listed so specifically. Their sin was the broad terms of fornication and strange flesh. Any homosexuality falls into these terms.

The words this web site is referring to is translated in our English translations as "abusers of themselves with mankind" or "them that defile themselves with mankind" or the NIV states "homosexual offenders." The original Greek is only one word, "arsenokoithv" or "arsenokoites" - a sodomite:--abuser of (that defile) self with mankind." Sodomy, which is an unnatural form of intercourse, especially that of a male with a male, is what is being condemned in these two texts. There is nothing in the text or the word itself which points specifically to men molesting boys. This could be included in sodomy, but by no means the totality of the action described.
In the four articles the only passages addressed were the passages the web site addressed. As you can see, not one of the references in the web site was used as God has written them. The site concluded these paragraphs with this sentence, "But on the topic of sexual activity within a loving, committed, monogamous homosexual relationship, many religious liberals view the Bible as being completely silent."
No matter how perverted folks may view the Bible about homosexuality, God is far from silent about the topic! Every passage to which the site refers actually condemns this type of sexual immorality, not accepts it! Paul warned that one of the steps in the spiritual spiral down to idolatry and homosexuality (which are very similar due to God being denied His honor in both sins) was that the individuals involved would be "Professing themselves to be wise, they became as fools" ( Romans 1:24). Perhaps the writer of the content of this site really believes he is wise; sadly he bows his back against God! This is foolish for anyone!
