Mission Statement

To demonstrate care and compassion by providing comfort to those that are experiencing hospitalization or a similar crisis of self or loved ones.

Opportunities to Serve

Brochures and Tracts

  • Maintain adequate supply of selected brochures (Power for Today, House to House, tracts, etc.)
  • Stamp brochures with Mt. Juliet address stamp
  • Distribute inspirational brochures to the public waiting rooms of area hospitals
  • Maintain appropriate records of costs

Snack Distribution

  • Maintain sufficient supply of snacks
  • Deliver snacks to Summit Medical Center at least once a week
  • Maintain appropriate records of costs
  • Purchase snacks at the lowest cost possible

Ted E. Bear

  • Maintain a photo album of the teddy bear ministry with special emphasis on activities and responses from recipients
  • Assist in making teddy bears, cut out teddy bear patterns from the fabric provided, sew teddy bear fronts to teddy bear backs, stuff teddy bears, and/or paint faces on teddy bears
  • Maintain an accounting of the cost of the ministry and the extent to which the ministry has supplied teddy bears
  • Obtain fabric, stuffing material and other needed supplies at the lowest cost possible
  • Deliver teddy bears to hospitals, care centers, or police departments

Visitation

  • Ensure that members of our congregation are visited if they enter the hospital for more than one day and be willing to be called upon to visit hospitalized members in nearby hospitals
