Wow! We just returned from another wonderful mission trip to El Salvador. I just want to thank everyone who was a part of the team and for those responsible for Mt. Juliet getting involved in this work.
I was very proud that Joslyn Pirtle and Timothy Thompson joined the team this year. Both had a great trip and are eager to go back. I hope more teenagers can get involved next year. This is truly an eye-opening experience. It reminds us how truly God has blessed us and that we should not take anything for granted.
One of the most rewarding things for me was seeing some of the teens that were baptized into Christ last year who are active in the church in Usulatan. Two ladies who were baptized this year watched their daughters get baptized last year. This is the definition of 1 Timothy 4:12 “Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” What a blessing it is to see teenagers deciding to follow Christ and bringing their mothers closer to God.
It is my prayer that we will keep the zeal for lost souls by going and reaching out to those who need Christ in Mt. Juliet. It is my hope when we come together, we are excited to be with our brothers and sisters in Christ, the true family of God. It is my plea that we remember the blessings God gives us and that when we worship, we pour out our hearts to God when we sing and pray. Let us appreciate more each day the times we can come together as a church, as a family, and never take it for granted. God is so Good!
